i gonne try my very best to finish everything else today before lunch. meeting becca and ivy at hougang at about 12.30.
SUNDAY 9th March 2008
for sleeping at 5 i woke up feelinig relatively well rested. woke up once at 7.35 and decided to go back to sleep. we were supposed to be awake by 10. got up at about 9, 9.15 to bathe and brush my teeth and went down to have breakfast.

i have to add that i forgot to put down that amanda and i made fun of alvin saying he was gay but then i switched sides saying amanda was really blur and had a lot of blonde moments. she tried to flick her finger to inflict pain on alvin but instead she hurt her finger.

had peanut butter spread and garlic spread with bread of course for breakfast. got a packet of nescafe from either amanda or atricia. kenneth was again at default. but he at least wasnt as stoned as the day before. there were a lot of weird funny things going on but the thing i remembered most was chester putting about 0.5cm thick layer of peanut butter on his bread. wow.
the year 1s then went over to the conference room to have a session by gene about prayer in life and our calling by God to do his works. and there was heavy emphasis on us being chosen by God and not that we chose him and that when he calls us, "i am too young" isnt an excuse at all and that acceptance should be the way we should answer our God.
we then went off for lunch where roy implemented the rule that i was not allowed to sit with ivy cassie or becca and that i must socialise with everyone else. so i picked a corner and sa by myself. then becca came in and sat next to me and i was like 'i cant sit nest to them but that doesnt mean they cant sit next to me xD'. lunch was catered packet chicken rice with this chilli fishball. rebecca gave me her fishball and the rice with chilli to jac. it was a lot and not very appealing in terms of taste and i felt that there wasnt enough meat. i had to force myself to finish the last few mouths. becca sat next to me and kenneth behind me. see? trying to sit as close as possile withoout being to obvious. but then again, louis and amos were sitting there also.
after lunch the year 1s went for a meditation and Quiet Time, or QT, session conducted by louis and amos in the conference room. we had to wait in the "living room" for a while because the possessed projector wouldnt work again. they even tried praying over it like how i think the protestants to it. i seriously think the projector has some problems because it would only work at night. socilised somemore in the living room which was fun. i forgot to mention that kevin went home...
so we finally went in for the session and they allowed us to sit on mattresses provided that we promise not to lie down on them. we went in and had to wait somemore so the guys were like can u do this this this this and every other this that has got to do with pt on the mattress and the girls were like... ergh.... ahem. lol..
they taught us what meditation was about, how to meditate, the importance of meditation and that we should do it whenever we can. we were supposed to meditate on what we could give to yc. why did we join yc. what are some of the things we hope to take away from yc and thing we look forward to do or how we envision ourselves helping out at yc. i think louis and amos did it quite well. like how to encase our problem and throw them away. it really helped a lot. they were quite professional about it. they played some music while we were meditating. i think it was really cool. especially the first time you hear it. very fleeting very rhythmic and cutting but not jarring.
we then had to choose our prayer buddies. i decided that no matter what i wouldnt choose someone my age. i mean it made sense because firstly, im too close to them. if there was a problem, friendship feuds would start. secondly, although theyve been in yc a year longer that doesnt mean they have more experience than me and are probably about at the same stage in their prayer life. it wouldnt help me and i would not be able to benefit in any way.
the prayer buddies to choose from were amos rene becca sars kim carol joshua. 7 because kevin wasnt there. darius wasnt with us either and so was sars. at night sars introed herself to him as his prayer buddy and i was like "my deepest sympathy and condolences". i chose carol. i think because i felt the most comfortable around her. i was going to choose her anyway no matter what. i think its also important that it would be a girl because we would be able to understand each other and connect on a higher level compared to if my prayer buddy was a guy.
carol and i went into the conference room to find out more about each other and i learned a lot of things about her. i think it was really interesting. then roy came in and joined us. and carol asked why i chose her and i said because i felt most comfortable around her and roy was like "thats good". and she went on to say she was afraid no one would pick her. i thought that was crazy though. because shes mature so she should be picked.
kenneth came in halfway and i said he could join us but he was like no need la. i go... and after he left i was like "he's scared of me. he was in my configroup haha" and carol was like "you were in the same group? how come i dont remember?" and something about remembering him and remembering me but not remembering we were in the same group. she also said she was probably closest to our group and spent the most time with us. i should think so. at that time she was still with dominic who was our facil.
so then we went to change to play games which were done by xavier clara and germaine. quite fun actually. the first game was about trust where u trust you teammates to prevent you from falling so you kind of stand in the centre of a circle and they push you around with your feet together. there was also this game about tarzan jane and a gorilla. so like tarzan is scared of jane, jane is scared of the gorilla and the gorilla is scared of tarzan so theres like 2 groups and we have to do one action and chase the loser by hopping. quite ok and toot la.
the next game for my group was like an obstacle course where there are pieces of paper with numbers on them and objects around the room so we were supposed to get around the room holding each others hands and avoiding the objects and we were supposed to do it quietly. we took like 6 minutes plus lol.. the next game was the mine game. the one where we were supposed to follow the correct path to get through the maze thing. also quite fun.
we then left for the carpark to play wet games. i went barefooted because i didnt bring my slippers. didnt think i would need them.. the first wet game was to transport our teammates by piggy back. the person ontop was to have a cup with holes in their mouth and the one below was to run. the one on top would scoop milo water from a pail, put the cup back into their mouths and the one below run back again and the water deposited into a container and the one with most water would win. i was supposed to carry becca and i did. the first time. then kenneth carried her the rest and cassie and i were like "uh huh..." lol. and giving her those coy and snide looks. kimberly slipped and fell on her tailbone. ouch! i understand the pain very well i think.
the next game was like cherades. and we were like "oh we practised last night haha!!" so it started with a leader who would do the cherade and if we could guess it in one minute, one team member would cross over and go to safety. if we got it right we could throw water bombs at the other team. if we couldnt get it, they threw water bombs at us. i thought it was damn funny because kenneth's aim was damn accurate. he threw the bomb and it landed at michaels crotch. onch. funny, hilarious, but ouch. there was one about pamela anderson and one of the twins was so paiseh to do the action of bigboobs but in the end nicholas got it right because of his borat again.. my team lost and were supposed to have watter bombs thrown at us but there werent any left so yayy. xD
we finished games at about 5.30, went back, bathed and went for 6.15 mass. i wasnt allowed to sit with cassie becca and ivy again... during bath time becca and i were talking about people again. she told me that roy and jac actually had a talk with her about dating and not to go out with marist because they were screwed. so i guess they could also tell that kenneth had a thing for becca. said a lot of things during that bath. cant remember now but it is stored in the unconscious memory for now.
i did offertory with simon for mass. darn it. so paiseh. especially since i was not dressed nicely like simon. cool experience actually. before mass while sitting on the pews becca and cassie [sitting next to kenneth] on the other end of the pew i was at were trying to point and wink and point and wink at something. i think that they were trying to say that mt might be serving mass. i would have thought so too becasue the guy that came to get the cross was from his group but recently they changed groups and mt is in the same group as darren so darren would have come to take the cross. and i was right. we were a week early because gregory's group was the one that served mass. and chadwick was there. my nemesis, my nightmare.
sars sat with me for dinner. roy was like you cant sit with her and both of us were like but this is the first time we've sat together for the whole camp... and anyways, we were discussing the choir. the cantor was horrible and so was the psalmist but i prefered them to the 8.30 choir in the sense that they could choose appropritate songs to the liturgy and it was sung quite well and harmoniously as a choir. dinner was some rice with chickenk and long beans ans ikan bilis and something else but NO CHILLI. damn that sucked. and the food wasnt good as well. had to force myself to finish again.
i guess i wasnt able to finish. need to go bathe and change to go to the clinic to get x-ray results. and a new wallet. then meet becca and ivy for lunch and gossip then maybe head to sars house then church. probably will be able to use the comp some time while waiting.. gonna draft on microsoft word since theres no internet access...
